Congratulations! You’re on your way to heart-healthy grocery shopping. Here are instructions on using the “My Grocery List” function of heartcheckmark.org.
Create your list | Print your list | Retrieve your list | Mobile use | Tell a friend
Create your list:
Go to www.heartcheckmark.org, the Food Certification Program’s Web site.
Click the picture that says “My Grocery List” on the center of this page.
Make sure that cookies are enabled on your browser. For instructions on how to do this, see the following Web site: http://www.google.com/cookies.html.
On the next screen, you will see two options for easily finding the products you need:
Products grouped by category. For example, milk is listed under the “Dairy Case” category. Review the list to find the certified products you need. Click on the subcategory name to view the list of products.
Products grouped by manufacturer. At the bottom of the page, you can browse a menu of manufacturers’ names to find a particular product.
Please note that located beneath these two options, you will see two blue buttons to view “Product List by Category” and “Product List by Manufacturer.” These buttons will only allow you to view the entire product list. You will not be able to add items to your list on these pages.
You will see a list of the certified products for this subcategory or manufacturer. To make your selection, enter the quantity, and click “Add to List.” The product will appear on your list on the right-hand side of your screen.
Click the green “Return to Product List” button in the upper right-hand corner of your screen to return to the full list of categories.
Continue reviewing the list of products and manufacturers until you have added everything you need to your list.
To add other needed items that are not included in our list of certified products, such as paper towels or bottled water, scroll down to the “My Items” category and click “Add custom items to your list.” You can then enter your items one at a time, and click “Add to List.” Continue adding any items that you need. Click the green “Return to Product List” button to return to the list of certified foods.
To delete an item from your list, click the trash can icon next to the item in your grocery list on the right-hand column of the screen. To delete all of the items on your list and start over, click the “Empty the Cart” button.
To save your list for future use, enter your e-mail address in the “Save My List” box and click “Save.”
Print your list:
Once you’ve completed your list, you can print a copy to take with you to the store. Click the green “Print List” button.
A PDF of your printable grocery list will pop up in a new window.
Click “File,” Print” and “OK.”
